To bring programs to the classrooms in the Greater Lehigh Valley that create a culture of student empowerment, personal responsibility and accountability.
The demands of the 21st century requires a holistic approach in education to fully prepare students for college, career, and citizenship. The Leader in Me focuses on students learning the 21st Century Skills of student self-confidence, creativity, teamwork, self-direction, initiative, leadership, responsibility, problem solving, communication, and social etiquette. The Program develops and prepares students for the challenges and opportunities of today and tomorrow ensuring that each student is healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged allowing for long-term student success.
The Program integrates leadership development into existing school programs, curricula, and traditions serving as a foundational operating system for the school, helping to improve relationships, transforming culture, and highly motivatingstaff members and students. The Leader in Me Program was first introduced in 2011 to two elementary schools in Bethlehem. Leader Lehigh Valley, in private/public partnership with FranklinCovey and the Allentown, Bangor, Bethlehem, Easton and Salisbury School Districts, created a regional deployment that ensures success and sustainability for the Program over the long term — and reduces overall costs for program.
