Supporting Organizations
Creation of a supporting organization, in lieu of a private foundation, offers donors the opportunity to have the investment and grantmaking latitude of a private foundation and the advantages of being linked to a publicly supported organization (the Community Foundation.) Supporting organizations are generally formed with a minimum gift of $3 million-$5 million. The creation of a supporting organization can be complex, and the Community Foundation is pleased to work with donors and their professional advisors on this process; contact Bernie Story at (610) 266-4284.
