Burnside Plantation Fund

Begun in 1991 by the Burnside Plantation, this Fund is an endowment that supports the ongoing educational, recreational, and history-related programs of the Burnside Plantation.

The Plantation is an eighteenth-century Moravian farm that has been restored for educational and recreational purposes.  It was the colonial-era property of James Burnside, who was born in Ireland and lived in Georgia before settling in Bethlehem.  Mr. Burnside was the Northampton County representative to the Pennsylvania State legislature for two terms.
