Community Assistance Fund
The purpose of the Community Assistance Fund is to provide responsive support for nonprofit organizations in the Lehigh Valley that are experiencing unexpected needs or critical gaps in funding. Examples of appropriate requests are facilities emergencies or unexpected loss of a key funder. The Community Assistance Fund application is invitation only. Please see the application instruction section below for information on how to be considered for an invitation to apply to the fund.
Grant Award Amount:
The grant award will be in the range of $500 to $5,000.
- Must be a publicly supported organization with 501(c)(3) exempt status
- Must be a nonprofit organization that provides services from a physical address located in Northampton or Lehigh Counties.
- Grants cannot be used for:
- Educational scholarships for pre-K, primary, secondary or post-secondary education.
- Capital campaigns
This grant opportunity is available by invitation only. To be considered for an invitation to apply, organizations must first meet with a staff member of the Community Foundation.

The opportunity to request a meeting with the Foundation is open on a rolling basis. For the 2018-2019 cycle ending on July 1, 2019, a request for a meeting must occur prior to April 15, 2019.
