Igniting Change Fund | 50th Anniversary

LVCF is launching a new series of discretionary grants that will be awarded to programs addressing the findings of the Lötter Fellow Reflections Paper. We have shown that the LVCF can “Be the Spark” for awareness, connection and change, but we want to expand that initiative and “ignite change.”

We have been so impressed with the work of the 29 nonprofits that we have funded through the Spark Grants, that we want to continue our impact on these Spark issues.  The Reflections Paper’s findings will spotlight trends and continuing needs in the community.  We will not close the door on the progress we have made in the past year, but instead we plan to accomplish even more.

The Igniting Change Fund will provide a NEW series of Community Foundation grants to harness the momentum of the Spark Grants and provide additional resources to expand on the important work we have begun.  The application criteria will speak to the findings of the Reflections Paper to better meet the needs of our community.  This time around we won’t be asking nonprofits for a video, but we will continue to build awareness of community issues and organizations in other ways.

The Fund will be open to grant applications from Lehigh Valley nonprofits later this year.

As we move forward with the Igniting Change Fund, we welcome the partnership of our current donors and funders with additional sources of funding.  Together, we can all IGNITE CHANGE in the Lehigh Valley.

Stay tuned for more information about the Reflections Paper and the Igniting Change Fund!
