Bradbury-Sullivan and Pride Merge to Facilitate Annual Pride in the Park Festival
Lehigh Valley’s Pride festival has been a vibrant community event since 1993. In 2017, Pride of the Greater Lehigh Valley merged with Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center.
The exciting community event provides a spotlight on LGBT arts and culture, connects thousands of community members to local resources, provides full-day programming for LGBT youth and teens, and celebrates the diversity in our community.
“Non-profit mergers are complicated,” said Adrian Shanker, founder and executive director. “With support from The Synergy Fund, Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center had the resources available to get through our merger in the most effective way possible.”
“As Pride’s Board of Directors considered the 25th year of Pride in the Park, we wanted to be sure the festival could continue well into the future,” said Shawn Bausher, former president, Pride of the Greater Lehigh Valley.
Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center creates a vibrant community for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community in the Lehigh Valley through life-enriching LGBT arts & culture programs, leading-edge LGBT health programs, daily LGBT youth programs, critical supportive services, an annual regional pride festival, and an informative Training Institute. Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Allentown, Pennsylvania. Learn more...
