LVCF Sponsors Levitt Pavilion Concert Featuring Folk Rockers Donna the Buffalo
Allentown, Pa., July 2, 2019—The Lehigh Valley Community Foundation (LVCF) is a sponsor of the 2019 ArtsQuest’s Levitt Pavilion Summer Concert Series. The series runs through the summer to September 7. It features more than 50 free shows at the Levitt Pavilion, located at the base of the iconic Bethlehem Steel blast furnaces on the city’s SouthSide.
The Community Foundation is a sponsor for the Donna the Bufffalo concert on Thursday, August 29 at 7:30 p.m. LVCF’s Erika Riddle Petrozelli, associate vice president for philanthropy, will welcome the crowd and introduce the band to kick-off the show.
Donna the Buffalo offers everything you want in a roots band: songs that matter, a groove that makes you dance, an audience that spans generations and a musical voice that evokes a sense of community. Its musical influences include country, rock ‘n’ roll, bluegrass, old-time fiddle, Cajun and Zydeco. They’ve played thousands of shows and countless festivals including Bonnaroo, Newport Folk Festival, Telluride, Austin City Limits Festival and more. Dance in the Street, their first new album in five years, captures the dynamic energy that has earned the band the love and respect of their fans, “the Herd,” for thirty years.
