A Workshop For Nonprofits

LVCF to Host Workshop Entry-Level Fundraising 101

The Lehigh Valley Community Foundation (LVCF) is proud to announce an upcoming professional development opportunity for nonprofit leaders, staff, and volunteers: Entry-Level Fundraising 101. The workshop will take place on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., at Northampton Community College’s Fowler Center, Room 605, located at 511 E. 3rd Street, Bethlehem, PA.

This interactive training session will be led by Stick Figure Fundraising, a consulting firm with deep expertise in nonprofit capacity-building and fundraising strategy. The workshop is designed to provide participants with a strong foundation in fundraising fundamentals, practical tools for engaging donors, and strategies for creating sustainable funding models.

Workshop Overview

The Entry-Level Fundraising 101 session will cover:

  • Building a Basic Fundraising Plan – Guidance on how to set realistic goals, define key fundraising activities, and measure success.
  • Understanding Operating Budgets – Connecting fundraising plans to organizational budgets to ensure financial stability.
  • Trauma-Informed Fundraising Approaches – Exploring how to align donor engagement and fundraising strategies with equity, empathy, and inclusion in mind.
  • Interactive Group Activities – Hands-on exercises to help participants apply what they’ve learned in real-world contexts.

The workshop is specifically tailored to individuals new to fundraising—whether nonprofit staff, board members, or volunteers—but will also be beneficial for those who want a refresher or to strengthen their existing fundraising efforts.

One-on-One Support Sessions

Following the main workshop, between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., Stick Figure Fundraising consultants will hold ten private 30-minute one-on-one appointments. These sessions offer participants individualized coaching on developing a simple fundraising plan tailored to their organization. Attendees are encouraged to bring fundraising ideas, specific questions, and challenges for discussion.

Participants may request a 1-on-1 consultation. Slots are limited.
